At Expok, we had the opportunity to talk with Nalleli Barajas, deputy director of sustainability at Grupo BMV, who shared more about the impact of this company.
BMV Group beyond the financial market
For this group, sustainability is extremely important and is therefore part of their DNA. In this sense, since 2011 it has launched various initiatives ranging from the launch of the sustainable CPI in 2011 to the Mexican Carbon Platform (MEXICO2) in 2013.

Internal Control.
Normative compliance.
Business Continuity.
Currently, all this commitment is also brought together in the development of the sustainability area in which this group will focus more organizational efforts to generate a strategy that allows it to align its processes and services considering ESG factors from a comprehensive perspective.
The importance of your alliances
BMV Group is aware that current social and environmental challenges cannot be addressed individually and collective participation is required to face and solve them.
That is why it has used part of its influence and tools to create powerful alliances and stronger collaborative spaces. An example of this is that today it is the only Stock Exchange in Mexico that is part of the Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative. A cooperation program, organized by the UN Global Compact, that provides a platform where Stock Exchanges from around the world, investors, regulators and companies participate to encourage sustainable operations.
In this project, we have worked to generate sustainable markets and economies to achieve sustainable global development.
